Setting the Mother's Day Brunch Table

May prompts milestone celebrations of all sorts, from graduations and festivals to Mother's Day and Memorial Day. In lieu of a savory supper, we are pushing back the clock a few hours early to celebrate Mom for a bountiful brunch for four.  Capturing the morning light through floral centerpieces and bright green fare, the supper club table utilizes rustic details and a green/blue color palette.

On the kitchen or dining room table, plant a pitcher of bright blooms and greenery. I particularly fell for a a few stems of white lilly, eucalyptus, and little lime hydrangeas from a nearby florist.

Next, add white plates and drape a quarter-folded hemstitch napkins atop each setting. Your succulent watercolor place cards will lay centered on each napkin. For beverages, I enjoy the contrast of a low juice tumbler with a slender champagne flute for mimosas. Tea cups and saucers are a nice offering for caffeine-addicted folks.

Serve your frittata in a cast iron and feel free to transfer it directly to the table. I wrapped the skillet's handle in a matching napkin to tie the serving piece with the place settings. Lastly, grab a rustic antique baguette bowl for your doughnuts; if you do not have one, a narrow/long serving dish works perfectly.

For extra color, dot the corners of the table with bowls of fresh berries. Your guests will roll into breakfast happily!
