Let's be honest; when it comes to "pink," the first word that comes to my mind is "rosé." The trend that--let's be real-- isn't going anywhere anytime soon, rosé symbolizes the perfect unifier for gatherings of all occasions and, especially in this case, for Galentine's Day.

I'm totally blushing over this spread, courtesy of Whole Foods Market. Nodding to the hues of the Valentine's holiday in an elevated format, the menu and tablescape speak to a refreshing spin on quality time with your best gals. Follow along for tips and tricks, and get that date on the calendar before February gets underway!

THE TABLE

Rosé’s copper undertones spark a sophisticated yet minimalist dining style. You won't see any traditional roses at this Galentine's party. Instead, grab an organic bunch of blush or white buds to set as your centerpiece.  I opted for a copper vase to hold my Whole Foods bouquet as well as copper candle votives to add a romantic touch. Keep the buffet informal and approachable by stacking salad bowls and appetizer toothpicks for easy pick-up.

THE WINE

After browsing Whole Foods' wine aisles, I was pleased to find a dedicated rosé section that made the decision-making process super simple. My rosé final picks were Miraval, Champs de Provence, and Chateau de Trinquevedel. Insider hint: If you pick up six bottles from Whole Foods, you'll get 10% off your batch. Or, if you don't want to be responsible for the entire rosé selection, ask each girlfriend to bring her favorite bottle to the party!

I set out six glasses, one for each gal to use for rosé tasting and critiquing. I find it most fun when each bottle is sampled together to kick off the night; then, your guests are free to continue to pour the rosé of her choice!

THE FOOD

A rosé-inspired get-together would not be complete without blush-toned bites. Ensure the menu is bright and fresh. If possible, stick to dishes that can be served chilled or at room temperature.

Toss a simple salad of måche roséttes greens, pomegranate seeds, edamame, and plump wild shrimp with a vinaigrette. I served mine on a Paper & Clay blush-colored platter.

Next, wrap pitted dates in slices of organic uncured bacon and roast in a 375-degree oven for 8-10 minutes on each side. Satisfying and right in light with our color palette, these one-bite poppers balance sweet and savory.

Of course, a Caramelized-planned gathering requires a cheese board, and we didn't skimp here with Whole Foods' expert cheese selection. Blocks of Midnight Moon and Humboldt Fog  are matched with blanched almonds, fig spread and my favorite cranberry-studded crackers.

Though chocolate is no where to be seen on this Galentine's buffet, don't let that stop you from indulging! And, stay tuned for a special chocolate recipe, coming soon on the blog!
