Bourbon Gelato "Floats"

Alex and I received a darling set of liqueur glasses for our wedding (one year ago last weekend!). I've been so obsessed with the daintiness of the petite long-stemmed glassware. And while a tipple of straight brandy or  amaro at the end of dinner would absolutely mark a special occasion, I opted to take it to another level!

These elegant gelato "floats," if you will, include a scoop of vanilla gelato with a dust of cinnamon and a drizzle of honey, all floating in a foundation of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey.

Of course, you could play around with the gelato flavor -- I'm dying to try a version with cinnamon gelato or even honey pistachio! Nonetheless, I've been working on my tastebuds for straight bourbon, which is Alex's very favorite (check out our wedding bourbon tasting bar here); and while I'm not quite there yet, a scoop of ice cream helps, don't you think?
