Another Memphis Fashion Week in the books (see my 2018 recap here) and, wow, was it a whirlwind!
Thanks to the creativity and collaboration of two newer leaders in the lifestyle and fashion scene — Karina Benziger, the incoming chair of Memphis Fashion Week, and Stephanie Stephens, the new Owner/Editor of The Scout Guide Memphis + Oxford — I was invited to play the (natural) role of hostess for a first-time Hu. Roof after-party to kick off the official Memphis Fashion Week.
If the all-night thirty-minute line to the Hu. Roof and sell-out runway shows at the new Crosstown Theatre didn’t reflect the demand of Memphis Fashion Week’s energy and impressive community vibe, I don’t know what more proof you could ask for!
In addition to fashion-focused events, Memphis Fashion Week and Memphis Tourism hosted an exquisite luncheon at Restaurant Iris with a three-course meal by Chef Kelly English. A long table dusted with delicate bouquets by EH Blooms brought a dozen of bloggers from both Memphis and across the country together.
Throughout the weekend, I was honored to be dressed in looks by Sloane Lenz of THIS IS SLOANE, an Austin-based designer whose latest collection hit the runway Friday night. Scroll for the looks, which when paired with locally-owned Urban Hardware Jewelry, brought ultimate trend to town.
Special thanks to Danielle Lozeau + Christen Jones Photography for bringing these looks to life through their lens!
