More pups, more fun.
Captured by Danielle Lozeau, Sawyer’s second birthday shindig was an absolute (and chaotic) blast. We brought together some friends with dogs, some without, and together basked in the Loflin Yard backyard sun.
The dogs had quite a time thanks to Hollywood Feed, who provided Sawyer’s birthday accessory get-up, toys and adorable party favors. The Union Avenue location’s Hollywood Feed Fresh Bakery created the most photogenic of confections, including a custom dog-friendly birthday cake and gourmet peanut butter banana and coconut cupcakes.
Our friends at Lucky’s Social Club, a dog park “bar” slated to open in our neighborhood later this summer, was kind enough to send some swag and water bowls our way for an extra-convenient atmosphere.
And while the pups always come first, I couldn’t throw a party without consideration for the humans in the room. My go-to gal Tara of Smallcakes Collierville, a locally-owned bakery, made her decadent puppy chow cookies, which featured peanut butter chocolate chip dough and a sprinkle of puppy chow on top! They were a serious hit, especially when paired with a Loflin Yard cocktail or High Cotton beer.
