You may have seen my indoor solo retreat project during the early stages of quarantining, which provided a tranquil “power spot” for reflection and renewal while at home. The trend continues, especially as we limit our trips and errands and physical time with others.
We’re taking this outdoors!
Bella Vita brings simple, at-ease accessories to your outdoor living space, no matter the size. Mine is honestly the size of a shoebox, and yet the transformation feels like I have an acre of my own (ha!). It’s remarkable how the little touches can truly create a new sense of place.
TEXTURES
My balcony walls and floor, as well as my little tables + chairs set from IKEA, are all wood and needed some softer and lighter-colored elements to balance the hard, dark foundation.
A 2x3’ Dash & Albert Indoor/Outdoor Rug encourages me take my shoes off while enjoying a glass of wine or a good read. The shop’s new line of outdoor-friendly pillows, including this Cape Stripe Indoor/Outdoor Pillow, add a layer of fluff and coziness to sit around and stay for a while.
GREENERY
Would you believe that these plants are faux? Bella Vita’s selection of greenery, including the various Lady Fern Drop In Plants on my floating plant wall and a couple of Paper-wrapped Potted Artificial Plants on the table, add a pop of color without the upkeep.
Because my patio receives such direct sunlight each afternoon, I now won’t have to worry about overwatering them (since my wall plants admittedly shrivel up every time I try!).
HEIGHT
A series of Wire-wrapped bottles in a variety of sizes added a sense of depth to my tabletop. I plan to pop in a bright floral stem soon, but I also think the vases work well alone!
SNACKS + SIPS
Obviously. What is an outdoor space with food + drink? I opted for the Etta B stemless wine cup to hold my cocktail, giving it a more rustic and casual feel than a fancy glass. The Etta B square dish is the perfect size for a shareable snack for two if you aren’t feeling a full charcuterie spread.
