S’mores are forever a favorite of mine. Perhaps it’s the nostalgia associated with sticky fingers by the fire as a kid at summer camp, where I met my husband. Or perhaps it’s the perfect combination of sweet, crispy and melt-in-your-mouth all at the same time. I have confirmed my favorite indoor version of the classic at home, but now with my mobile pizza oven packed frequently in my Roadshow BMW X3, I now have a new favorite approach: trunk-style!
PACK, PARK + GO
All you need is your Gozney oven, X3 tailgate for setting up ingredients (or sitting), and plenty of chocolate, of course. We always pack the following s’mores fixings this time of year:
Graham Crackers
Gingersnaps
Marshmallows
Chocolate bars
Reeses
Cookie or pumpkin butter
With this mobile oven method, you don’t need to keep up with skewers (or sweat over a fire while they perfectly roast): In this case, place your graham crackers, marshmallow and chocolate open-faced on the pizza tray and cook for 20-30 seconds. Voila — that’s it! Smoosh your two sides together and take a perfectly gooey bite of s’mores.
